Having been the CEO of two organisations, both newly formed ones, I understand first-hand how important the role of leadership is in creating – and curating – the culture of any company.
I have also been the executive in charge of two significant culture change initiatives in large, complex and well established organisations. The first was at the South African Reserve Bank, one of the oldest central banks in the world. The second was across Standard Bank Group, the largest bank by assets in Africa.
Thanks to these experiences, all of which were far from straightforward, I have become very clear on the principles that matter when it comes to culture and elaborate on these in my culture slide deck.
